Well, after two full months of waiting and my director furiously fighting with HR, I was FINALLY called and offered the position this morning! So it's officially official: most likely starting next week, my work/career in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a Tech I begins. Starting salary is $18.48/hr, plus call time! That's a $8.26 raise from what I'm currently making! I'm nervous, but this has been what I've been waiting and working towards since high school. And why I've switched jobs so much (this will actually be my third position I've had this year alone within the hospital!) Even when I wanted to be an art teacher, my other major interest is in human anatomy, etc. So anyway, wish me luck! It's supposed to be a really crazy place to work! Even though I've worked in the Cath Lab Holding Area for 6 months, it's not the same and I'll be working more closely with the doctors now....
